The Marie went down on The Mannacles in November 1969. The club were asked to find her by the fishermen of Porthoustock. Three pairs of divers found nothing. The last pair, Ray Dennis and Alan Griffiths, found a  rope leading to the boat. It was then hauled up, using three fishing boats, and taken to Porhoustock beach. The hull was badly damaged, but the engine was OK.
